Homemade Anti-Aging Super Serum

This brand new product has been in testing for months, and we are finally ready to put it out there for you to try.  We think you will be extremely happy with the results.

Anti-Aging Super Serum 1 oz.

Some of the ingredients in this formula were very new to me, and as I researched them I found that some of them are very new to the industry, while others are tried and true oldie goldies.  Bear with me while we explore the benefits of each ingredient in this formula.

Chamomile Flowers and Tea

Chamomile Tea poses powerful healing, anti-oxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, cleansing, and moisturizing properties. It also proves to be very effective in treatment of acne, wounds and scars on the skin surface. It accelerates the healing process of minor wounds and also has disinfectant properties. It was initially used by the Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans as a healing salve for treating wounds. Chamomile tea is an excellent all-natural skin bleach. It helps to lighten your complexion and helps to make it more radiant. It tightens the pores and reduces the severity of many problems of the skin. Because of its calming and antioxidant properties, chamomile tea is found to be very effective in soothing skin irritation and eczema. Placing cooled chamomile tea bags under the eyes helps in reducing eye puffiness.

Photos of before and after Hyaluronic Acid use

Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that is naturally present in the human body.  It is found in the highest concentrations in fluids in the eyes and joints.  It can hold up to 1000 times it's weight in water.  Hyaluronic acid works by acting as a cushion and lubricant in the joints and other tissues, including the skin.  The Hyaluronic Acid that is used as medicine is extracted from rooster combs or made by bacteria in the laboratory.  The Hyaluronic Acid that we use is pure Hyaluronic Acid - no parabens, vegan and is made in the USA.  Hyaluronic Acid is used for healing wounds, burns, skin ulcers, and as a moisturizer when applied directly to the skin. There is also a lot of interest in using Hyaluronic Acid to prevent the effects of aging.  In fact, Hyaluronic Acid has been promoted as a "fountain of youth".

Aloe Vera Plant

Aloe Vera has been used for a host of purposes since the ancient Egyptians called it the "plant of immortality". Various studies have been conducted to examine the benefits of the Aloe Vera plant . It has been found that Aloe Vera does in fact have many properties that are effective in treating a variety of skin conditions.  It's good for flaky or dry skin, hair and scalp problems, and sunburn through its powerful ability to heal. It acts as a protective layer on the skin and helps to retain and replenish moisture. Because of its nutritional qualities and antioxidant properties, it assists the skin  in faster healing. Aloe moisturizes the skin without giving it a greasy feel, so it`s perfect for those with oily skin. For women who use mineral-based make-up, Aloe Vera acts as a moisturizer and is great for the face prior to application. Giberellin, a hormone in Aloe Vera acts as a growth hormone stimulating the growth of new cells. It allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring. It fights aging and lessens the visibility of stretch marks.

Witch Hazel Flower

Witch Hazel According to Wikipedia, "The leaves and bark of the North American Witch-hazel, Hamamelis Virginiana, may be used to produce an astringent, also referred to as Witch Hazel, and is used medicinally. This plant extract was widely used for medicinal purposes by Native Americans and is a component of a variety of commercial healthcare products.  It is mainly used externally on sores, bruises, and swelling. Witch Hazel is used in skin care. It is a strong anti-oxidant and astringent.  It is often used as a natural remedy for psoriasis, eczema, aftershave applications, ingrown nails, to prevent sweating of the face, cracked or blistered skin, for treating insect bites, poison ivy, and as a treatment for varicose veins and hemorrhoids."  It is a natural astringent that can help control acne by reducing inflammation and decreasing oil and redness in the skin.  It can lessen bacteria growth while speeding up the healing of scars, scabs, and infection.  I personally have found that it helps to minimize the look of large pores, and helps to make the skin appear smoother and younger.

Vitamin C that we use is Triple Action Vitamin C which is three forms providing enhanced action. This is powerful anti-oxidant care for your skin being the most advanced professional serum available for maximum effect.  It provides anti-oxidant benefits needed to help eliminate free radicals on your skin; helps to reduce age spots, freckles and skin discolorations.

Anti-Aging Super Serum 1 oz

Niacinamide  occurs when the B3 vitamin called niacin combines with amino acids of another molecule causing a chemical reaction producing niacinamide.  We can get our recommended allowance of vitamin B3 from eating fish, cereals, nuts, some breads, and, of course, our daily vitamins.  But it is most effective for treating problems of the skin when used topically.  According to the websites Livestrong.com and The Beverly Hills MD Blog, it reduces the signs of aging, provides relief for rosacea, and is an effective treatment for acne.

Vitamin E Oil is a heat stable antioxidant.  There have been studies that have shown that this form of Vitamin E is the best antioxidant for cosmetic applications.  It has a higher amount of gamma tocopherols compared to pharmaceutical Vitamin E pills. The source we use is both all natural and plant based.  “Vitamin E has been used in skincare for so long that it sometimes gets overlooked when newer, more exotic-sounding ingredients are advertised in products, but the truth is, it’s a highly beneficial ingredient for the skin, especially when it’s combined with other antioxidants.” From Livestrong.com

CoQ10 - According to WebMD, our regular multivitamins may provide all we need to keep our skin healthy.  However, depending on each one of our specific deficiencies, sometimes even the very best multivitamin may not contain everything we individually may need to keep our skin looking it's very best.  CoQ10 along with high levels of Vitamins A, C, and E can be much more beneficial if added daily to our beauty regimen.  In most folks over the age of thirty, the levels of CoQ10 are below the optimum which results in a lesser ability to make collagen and elastin. In addition, CoQ10 starved skin may be more susceptible to damage by free radicals. It is a relatively small molecule that can more easily penetrate the cells of the skin. Therefore, it can boost the skin's ability to repair and regenerate thereby reducing the damage of free radicals.

A gorgeous flamingo!

Astaxanthin is the reddish pigment that is part of a group of chemicals called carotenoids.  It occurs naturally in some algae, and it's what causes the red color in slamon, lobster, trout, shrimp, and other seafoods.  It's what gives flamingos their gorgeous color! It is known to reduce the signs of aging, reduce wrinkles and age spots, and improve the overall health of the skin, and helps to reduce damage caused by the sun.   In laboratory studies, astaxanthin has been reported to be typically at least 10 times more potent as an antioxidant than the other standard carotenoids.
