Homemade Coconut and Kaolin Clay Soap!

Homemade Coconut and Kaolin Clay Soap!

More soap creations from the farm!  My daughter must inspire me.  When she places an order for soap, my brain goes into overdrive thinking of ways to make them different, and pretty. These are my latest.  I used coconut melt and pour soap base.  I just love coconut oil for my skin.  I love the way it moisturizes, protects, nourishes, and exfoliates all at the same time.

  • Coconut Oil - For skin it is a moisturizer, antibiotic, multivitamin, multi-nutrient, anti-aging, anti wrinkle and an anti-oxidant. Coconut oil provides deep and real moisture. It helps strengthen underlying tissues and helps remove excessive dead cells on the skin's surface that makes your skin rough and flaky in texture, making it perfect for virtually every part of your face and body.
  • Rose Kaolin Clay - Useful for normal, dry and sensitive skin. Very mild clay that is good as a thickening agent. Does not draw oils from the skin.  It is used in face masks, soaps and colored cosmetics. It derives its color from the iron oxide content in the clay. Rose kaolin clay is a mild clay which will gently cleanse and exfoliate the skin.  Rose clay is gentle enough even for the driest skins. You may add it to water, plain yogurt, honey, liquid vegetable glycerine, whipped egg whites or mayonnaise to make a wonderful detoxifying mask.

This was a simple soap to make, but still very healthy for your skin.

Carpe Diem! Lil and Bill
