Vitamin Hydrating Spritzer!

Vitamin Hydrating Spritzer

This is the latest and newest product to come from the farm!  I think I am going to love this new product that can be used throughout the day to refresh, moisturize, tighten and revitalize your face. You can spritz it on clean skin, moisturized skin, and also over your foundation while you're at work, shopping, eating out, or just hanging at home.  I have mine right on my side table, and reach for it several times a day.  I love the fragrance, and the soft dewy feeling it gives my skin, not to mention the amazing anti-aging benefits.

Let me tell you what is inside this little wonder bottle.  It is just full of good things for your face.

Rosewater is made from the rose petals

Rose water:  It has anti-inflammatory properties, helps with acne, dermatitis and eczema, helps to maintain skins pH balance, helps to heal scars, cuts, and wounds, aids in removing oil and dirt accumulated in clogged pores, helps to tone and cool the skin.  It has been said that Cleopatra used it to keep her skin dewy and supple during her reign.

Aloe Leaf from which the juice is extracted

Aloe Juice:  It is an exceptional healing agent for sunburns, breakouts, and wounds, it has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation, it contains a growth hormone which stimulates the growth of new cells, it is hydrating and soothing to the skin.

The Witch Hazel Tree

Witch Hazel:  It is a natural astringent, removes excess oil from the skin, it reduces the look of pores, tightens the skin.  Web MD states "apply witch hazel directly to the skin for itching, pain and swelling (inflammation), eye inflammation, skin injury, mucous membrane inflammation, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, bruises, insect bites, minor burns, and other skin irritations".

Grape Seed Oil

Grape Seed Oil:  It was once a well-kept secret of many traditional cosmetic repertoires. It's an easily absorbed, gentle oil that is light on the skin.  It is extremely rich in beta-carotene and vitamins D, C, E.  Grape seed oil is light to the touch and never leaves skin feeling heavy with oil. Instead, it effectively moisturizes the skin, balancing both dry and oily patches. When used as a toner, grape seed oil can penetrate blocked pores and cleanse breakouts.  (Livestrong.com)

Geranium plants and flowers

Geranium Essential Oil:  Used by the Egyptians for promoting beautiful and radiant skin, geranium oil is now used to treat acne, reduce inflammation, alleviate anxiety and balance hormones. This sweet-smelling oil can also uplift your mood, lessen fatigue and promote emotional wellness.  It is a wrinkle reducer, muscle toner, infection fighter, healing helper, cell growth supporter, skin enhancer and has anti-inflammatory properties.  In addition, it's fragrance is delightful!

Vitamin C for your skin

Vitamin C:  Vitamin C is not only necessary for collagen (the main structural protein found in connective tissue) production and maintenance, but it is also a potent antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals in the skin.  Applied topically, it protects the skin from free radical damage from the exposure to UV rays.
Now, to get into natural vs chemical Vitamin C, www.Smartypantsvitamins.com says: Natural vs. Synthetic Vitamin C: Supplements:  Ascorbic acid is the chemical name for vitamin C and gets that name from the disease it treats – scurvy (a signifies no, and scorbutus is the latin word for scurvy). Many animals can produce their own vitamin C and so do not need to get it from food, but humans require it as part of our nutrition. It primarily comes in two forms – L-ascorbic acid and D-ascorbic acid. The L variety, which can come in both natural (found in fruits and vegetables, and also whole food vitamins) and synthetic forms (found in most other supplements), is synonymous with vitamin C and carries all its benefits, while the D carries identical antioxidant properties but not the vitamin C content of L and is not used in any form of vitamin supplement.   Between the natural and synthetic varieties of L-ascorbic acid there are no known differences in how they affect our bodies.  The L-ascorbic acid found in an orange is the same L-ascorbic acid found in a whole food vitamin C tablet is the same as the L-ascorbic acid found in a gummy multivitamin.  Their vitamin C content is all chemically and molecularly identical. D-ascorbic acid, meanwhile, does not exist in nature and, though chemically identical to its counterparts, is molecularly different.  It is this molecular difference that makes D-ascorbic acid impossible to be synthesized by your body and unusable in a vitamin supplement.
